Meet the Artist
Born into a world without color in a home where dysfunction and abuse cast a shadow over her early years, Meg emerged not only as a survivor but as a renegade artist who now colors the world. Traumatic experiences and resulting C-PTSD have shaped but not defined her. With over 22 moves from New York to Tokyo, her journey has been a mosaic of experiences – some dark, some brilliantly vibrant.
Meg Delagrange is more than an artist; she's a beacon of resilience and a free spirit, always chasing the next adventure and cherishing moments with her family. Today, Denver, Colorado is where she calls home, sharing her life with her loving husband and their blended family of five children.
Stay curious.

FEATURED ON
I was excommunicated from the Plain circles at the age of 21. Cut off and shut out from everything and nearly everyone that I had ever known, I floundered hopelessly. The heartache was deep, intensified by the haunting echoes of a traumatic childhood marked by dysfunction and abuse. It was an intensely lonely and confusing time in my life.
Life dealt further blows. Besides the awkward transition into mainstream society after being excommunicated, I lost gestational twins when I was almost 20 weeks along in my pregnancy. This was my third pregnancy loss. The summer following the loss of my twins in 2008, I discovered acrylic painting. What began as a curious exploration during a difficult time of grief quickly became a way to heal and my new passion, often pulling me into a world where hours flew by unnoticed.
Why poppies, you ask? They're bold and defiantly red – a hue I wasn't allowed to wear growing up.
The poppy is a paradox: resilient yet fragile, with tens of thousands of seeds held in a single pod. They symbolize untapped potential, a promise of what could be. This resonates deeply with me, reminding me that no matter our past, we all carry within us seeds of greatness.
As life continues to sweep me from continent to continent, I have found that the poppy flower grows in every place, from small cracks in concrete jungles to wide open plains. It grows and thrives, defying its surroundings with its vibrant colors. Just like poppies, humans are capable of thriving anywhere they are planted.
My own spirit is like the most colorful, persistent poppy and through each touch of color that grows on a canvas, I find peace and purpose for my own journey.
When you look at a piece of my art, I hope it inspires you to live with more curiosity and gratitude.
